John C. Druckenmiller, 51, is a 30-year media veteran. He's the owner/editor of Hometown Headlines Inc., a Web-based media group in Rome, GA. His Web sites include www.hometownheadlines.com, www.romekids.com, www.romediningguide.com and www.thesalessite.com.
Druckenmiller also is an adjunct professor of communication at Berry College, Mount Berry, Ga., and works in local radio.
He has worked for four Georgia newspapers including the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Fulton County Daily Report, The Times in Gainesville and The News-Tribune in Rome. Other career stops include USA Today, Florida Today, The Fresno, Calif., Bee, the Fort Myers, Fla., News-Press and The Ledger, Lakeland, Fla.
A Barberton, Ohio, native, he is a graduate of the University of Florida's College of Journalism and Communications, and has completed several courses toward a master's degree at Georgia State.
He is married to the former Jean Wilkening and they have one son, Jack, 6. They reside in Rome.
