Atlanta Press Club Announces General Election Debate Schedule
ATLANTA, GA – The Atlanta Press Club will host 13 debates, 10 of which are live, this election season. The debates will take place Oct. 22, 29, 30 and Nov. 5 at Georgia Public Broadcasting (GPB) in front of a live studio audience. GPB is located at 260 14th Street in Midtown. The Atlanta Press Club debate series is made possible thanks to a grant from Tom Watson Brown.
Press club members, journalists, college students, and supporters are invited to be part of the audience. Editors or reporters with any questions about the debates, participation of candidates or panels should contact Sarah Douglas at 404-523-1318 or sdouglas@atlpressclub.org.
All candidates are confirmed for all debates. The schedule is as follows:
Broadcast media may come to cover these taped debates and air footage immediately. Stations are required to include a mandatory courtesy reading “Atlanta Press Club/GPB” and to mention that the debates will air in their entirety on GPB or WPBA at the times listed above.
