Political Insider: Georgia Association of Educators declines to endorse in governor’s race — again

The Political Insider, Jim Galloway, writes that Gov. Roy Barnes may have more apologizing to do. The Associated Press reports that the Georgia Association of Educators is sitting out the first round of the governor’s race: The GAE similarly made no endorsement in 2002, when a sharp drop-off in support from teachers — the result of an aggressive series of reforms — was cited as one cause of Barnes’ defeat by Perdue, the first Republican governor in 130 years or so
